Our Coaching Process

1. Prayer

The first is Prayer.

In every session, we want to invite the Holy Spirit to come and share whatever He wants with us. We practice listening and inner healing prayer, often accompanied by somatic breathing or scripture meditation to calm our nervous system and focus our attention on God, His Word, and His heart for us.

2. Tea Time

Secondly, we do what we call TEA time.

This stands for Thoughts, Emotions, and Actions. We believe the Bible when it says repeatedly to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. If we want to change the actions in our lives, it begins with changing our thinking — which in turn aligns our emotions with God’s Kingdom and the Fruits of the Spirit.

3. Plan of Action

The third and last element of a coaching session is creating a plan of action.

Our goal is to create a new path forward. And although our past is important, with coaching, we make an effort to move beyond. Each week, your coach will give you practical and actionable steps to continue to grow in your goals, faith, and mental/emotional/physical health.

What can coaching help with?

Explore real struggles, honest questions, and the kinds of transformation STS coaching is built to support.

Personal Struggles

You’re not crazy — and you’re not alone. Whether it’s a relationship, behavior, or thought pattern you know isn’t serving you, coaching helps you understand the deeper “why,” and take practical, Spirit-led steps toward change without shame or fear.

Sometimes we’re praying, trying, and showing up — and still feel spiritually or emotionally stagnant. Coaching creates a space to sort through the roadblocks, explore what God may be inviting you into, and get traction again.

Guilt and shame distort how we see ourselves and God. Our coaches walk with you to identify those voices, separate them from truth, and replace condemnation with clarity, compassion, and conviction grounded in Scripture.

Knowing Scripture doesn’t always mean we feel anchored in it. Coaching helps you bridge that gap — tending to the heart, not just the head, and inviting God into the emotional places that feel numb or blocked.

When your brain won’t shut off, peace can feel impossible. Coaching helps you name your patterns, challenge distortions, and practice grounding truth — so your thoughts begin to serve you, not control you.

Whether you’re wrestling with insecurity, perfectionism, or people-pleasing, coaching helps you get to the root of your identity and live with more freedom in who God actually says you are.

You don’t need more willpower. You need support, spiritual clarity, and a new way of seeing the battle. Coaching helps you walk in the light — not with shame, but with renewed hope and real accountability.

Relational Pain

You don’t have to choose between being a doormat or shutting down. Coaching can help you process pain, practice boundaries, and walk in forgiveness — while staying rooted in who God says you are.

Not every situation will resolve neatly. But that doesn’t mean you’re powerless. Coaching helps you focus on what you can control — your peace, your voice, your posture — while entrusting the rest to God.

Bitterness often grows where there’s pain we haven’t named or processed. Coaching creates space for that — not to stay stuck in the story, but to make space for grief, truth, healing, and hope to re-enter.

Loneliness isn’t always about being around people — it’s about feeling deeply seen. Coaching helps you explore where disconnection is coming from and how to pursue healthy, Christ-centered connection again.

Some of us were raised to manage other people’s needs and moods. Coaching helps you untangle codependency, set holy boundaries, and release burdens God never asked you to carry.

Circumstantial Crisis

Life can feel like too much — and when it does, our brains want to shut down. STS coaching gently helps you name what’s heavy, simplify what matters, and start taking small steps forward with God’s help.

When life doesn’t go how you expected, it’s easy to question everything. Our coaches help you bring that ache into the light — and begin to rebuild a life that reflects both your reality and your redeemed identity.

God never intended for you to carry it all alone. Coaching gives you a place to be supported, emotionally unburdened, and spiritually re-centered — without pressure, quick fixes, or shame.
